Andrew Grant comes with his debut release on the Spanish record label Barraca Music right in time before the summer heat swaps over the clubs in Ibiza and Europe. The tech-house release “Tre Pro Quimby EP” is a vinyl that is littered with bulshy, blistering high-hats, a superble, snickety gritty groove and sinister quimmy plumes of utter brapness.
So to bring it to the point: On the A side you have “Colorado B.B.” with interesting jungle-like sounds, underlined by a potent bass and definitely something for the summer.
On the B side you have “Jazz Piano Triumph”, a tension building happy track, loopy and fruity, and both sides of the vinyl flow in the same kind of stylistic way like the frenetic dance culture style that we know from the very much appreciated Spanish club Barraca. The discotheque started as a underground house club in south-coast located Valencia, and Circoloco resident DJ Andrew Grant co-launched the music label. Barraca parties in Valencia have their very own magic and an enthusiastic fan base supporting the musical concept. This record of the Barraca label head has the aura of strongby fingersnapping summer day happiness.
